TO THE DEFENDANT: A Civil Complaint has been filed by the Plaintiff against you for the relief set forth in the Amended Complaint; specifically, a cause of action for quiet title seeking a declaration and determination that Plaintiff's Deed of Trust is a secured interest against the Property as a valid, recorded security interest, in first priority position; a declaration and determination that the 1998 and 2001 Deeds of Trust recorded against title to the Property are void, of no force and effect, and must be removed from title to the Property, and that Defendants have no right, title or interest in the Property; and for any and all further relief deemed appropriate by the Court. 1. If you intend to defend this lawsuit, within 21 days after this Summons is served on you exclusive of the day of service, you must do the following: a. File with the Clerk of the Court, whose address is shown below, a formal written response to the Complaint in accordance with the rules of the Court, with the appropriate filing fee. b.
